Called the ‘Fire Lady’ by children in Peru, New Jersey Landmark Forum graduate Jeannette Grauer is a dentist by trade. She has committed herself to creating sustainable healthcare in the Amazon in an environmentally friendly way and in partnership with the local peoples. To this end, she has created annual trips to the Amazon jungle in Peru. Her trips have resulted in thousands of children receiving fluoride treatments, receiving toothbrushes and being trained in dental care. Local professionals are also being trained so that the program has sustainable results. Eventually, she wishes to partner with other health care professionals to cause the complete, sustainable healthcare that is her vision.
