About Landmark Forum News

This site is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of the people who have participated in Landmark’s programs since 1991.

One of the things that people get out of their participation in The Landmark Forum and other Landmark programs is that they get in touch with the unique contribution that they have to make in life. This site is about those unique contributions that each of us makes to one another and to the world.

The Landmark Forum is a three day and one evening course that is designed to positively impact the quality of people’s lives. Participants are able to remove the barriers they have put in place that keep them from taking effective action in the areas of their life that are most important. The Landmark Forum and the rest of Landmark’s programs have been the main catalyst for more than 100,000 pro-bono or non-profit projects that have impacted millions of people.

FAQs: Submitting Landmark Project and/or Transformational Story Ideas

What Makes a Good Story?

Self-Expression and Leadership Program projects:

These projects touch, move, and inspire the communities in which they have occurred. Ideally they have impacted large communities of people or had major impact in the world. If you’ve got an inspiring ‘Self-Expression and Leadership Program’ project, we’d love to hear about it!

Personal Transformation:

It’s what we’re all about, after all! So whether it involves marathon running, math camps for kids, or mending major relationships with estranged family members, Landmark Forum News is here to celebrate graduate transformations and personal accomplishments.

Interview phone calls:

Our preference when it comes to Landmark Forum News stories is to be able to have a conversation with the person involved, more than just repeating a news article. That doesn’t mean we will never share stories without an interview, but we’d love to be able to talk to you!

Photos:

We have all heard that ‘A picture’s worth a thousand words.’ Landmark graduates have incredible, transformational stories, and we love using Landmark Forum News to tell them, especially if they have PICTURES! So don’t be surprised if we follow up asking for a few.

What Types of Stories are less Likely to be Accepted?

Marketing stories:

While there are novel business stories to tell, we may not cover your story. We reserve the right to exercise discretion especially when people are trying to use the site simply to market their business. If we do not choose to cover you, we still wish you the best of luck. 🙂

Incomplete stories:

We love to hear about exciting ‘Self-Expression and Leadership Program’ projects, but we want to tell the whole story! So, unless there is a very good reason to share a project that is not complete, we may ask you to get back to us with your awesome SUCCESS STORY once the project runs its course.

When is the Deadline to Submit?

Is there a relevant date around which you would like your story to be story posted? Let us know! Two weeks or more of lead time is preferred for date-sensitive stories, when possible.

As a graduate and program leader of of both the predecessor programs and current Landmark Education programs, I’m thrilled you’ve created a vehicle to spread the word about the amazing things people accomplish as a result of what they’ve discovered about themselves and the world through their participation in the courses.

I finished the Landmark Advanced course and have made amazing changes in my self and mission, with much adversary from close family.

I can now let it be and not let it be me! The world is an easier place when you allow others to be human beings and love them anyway! Something in theory I have longed, prayed, attempted most days, only to fail and feel bad for my failure.

With Landmark Education I have found tools to use to take the drama out of life and once used you prove to yourself this is so much easier and better.
Being truthful and not judging others, comes easier with these tools.

I get it and want everyone else to GET IT! Mostly I want families to be complete with each other just the way they are!

I create a possibility to take drama out of family life. It works, but you have to GET IT!

carol morgan says:

In the early eighties I participated in a program THE SIX DAY. I believe at that time the program was called the E.S.T
training which changed to The Landmark Forum. Has anyone heard of this program and if they are still doing it….best thing I ever did in my life.

Prof Lasantha Pethiyagoda says:

I was introduced to Landmark in late 2010 from someone who was promoting it in Melbourne, Australia while I was working at Victoria University. Out of curiosity i attended an information session. However, the pressure they put me under, to enrol for their three day program immediately put me off the money-grabbing gimmick they seemed to be foisting on gullible folk. Perhaps it was the sub-culture of Landmark promoters in Australia, but I have developed a very negative impression of it overall.

Natchalaikorn Sirichumroonwit says:

Hello, my Thai nickname is Bonus. I attended landmark forum in October 2013. It changed me a lot. Actually, it’s better to say that it gradually removes the part of me that was wrongly developed haha. Now, distinctions are part of my life. My experiences, please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk8-LRR3_2g&t=6s.

Kenneth Loebel says:

Hello-
My name is Ken. I attended the Landmark Forum several years ago – around 2006-2008, participated in two workshops and then assisted in the Advanced Course. The experience helped me in understanding things from a much different level, and has been instrumental in helping me to bring integrity and possibilities into my life. Following my participation, my wife went through the program, and then one of my daughters did too. It has been helpful for all of us in our communications and our ability to accept what is, and create possibilities. I have recommended this to students and friends and family wherever I go, and would like to express my gratitude to Landmark, to Larry Pierson – the Forum Leader when I attended, and to all who work to make this such a transformational experience.

Stefan says:

Hi!
Stefan here.
So…what I got out of the forum was finally daring to contact my biological mother. Getting 3 half siblings in return, and a mother.

I attended nearly ten years ago.

It was, by far, the most impactful and influential approach to allowing me to be fully empowered, and to grasp the technology of transformation.

Brenda McCausland says:

I was part of the initial Japanese group who did The Forum in LA in 1985. I would really like to get in touch with anyone who was there. In Tokyo the leader was an amazing lady, Nami Kominami.

I’ve done the Landmark Forum, I’d like to receive Landmark News.
