Cape Town Tattoo-a-thon Fights Childhood Cancer

A project created by a participant in Landmark Education’s Self-Expression and Leadership Program in Cape Town, South Africa, has led to an all day Tattoo-a-thon designed to raise money for CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA, an organisation that provides support for children suffering from Cancer and life-threatening blood disorders.

According to event coordinator Jordan Gray, the event is taking place all day on June 15th at 10 different contributing tattoo studios across cape town, including Sins of Metal, Wildfire Tattoos, Mob Inc and Metal Machine. The intent is to sell more than 300 tattoos, raising more than 100,000 Rand – about US$12,000 – for the foundation in one day.

Hi
I am a Landmark Self Expression & Leadership Program participant in Melbourne, Australia whom happened to be having ink work during the week of Tattoo-a-thon. While my art was applied here in Melbourne I want to make the equivilent payment to your charity as if my work was a part of Tattoo-a-thon. Love the concept, project and charity. How can i do this? Of note, I was made aware of Tattoo-a-thon by a LM graduate in New Zealand who knows my tattoos and recent work; that is community.

Dear Colin

I just came accross your message. Firstly we would like to thank you for your support. It is heartwarming to know that this event has had such a widespread impact. I know that quite a few weeks have passed since the events, however if you would still like to make a contribution, there are two payment options. Either via direct transfer into our bank account or via credit card.
Please feel free to contact me in this regard and I will gladly forward the necessary information. Email: [email protected]

Once again thank you for your support, and for helping us keep more than hope alive!
