Longtime Landmark staff member and Centers Division Executive Kathy Donaghu passed away earlier in November from complications related to cancer.
Donaghu began working for Landmark just over 20 years ago in Los Angeles, and served in a variety of positions, eventually becoming the manager of all Landmark’s regional controllers, and finally becoming the executive for all the Centers Division administration.
Said Landmark CEO Harry Rosenberg, “Kathy leaves behind an enormous legacy of contribution and making a difference. Her spirit lives on in the people of this enterprise.”
Centers Division Director Joan Rosenberg added “Kathy Donaghu is my hero. She was smart, she was sharp–everything she did, she did well, she did excellently. Kathy lived what anyone would agree was a more than successful life.”
Landmark’s Chief Information and Technology Officer, David Gerber, worked closely with Donaghu, and added “Kathy was a pro. She was one of the most practical people I’ve ever been around. I knew she always had my back, and she always had the back of the staff in our Centers. She loved Landmark and she loved our education, but she loved our Center staff maybe more than anything in her life besides her family and baseball. She was open, giving, funny, confident, competent, and really smart. And I’m proud to say she was my friend.”
A celebration of Donaghu’s life will take place with her family and friends on Friday, November 30th, from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. There will be no formal service or speeches. The event will be held at the Chianti Room at Tuscany Falls Country Club, 16262 Clubhouse Drive, Goodyear, AZ 85395.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society through her daughter Amy Donaghu’s fundraising page. Amy Donaghu, who is also a Landmark staff member, is participating in the Arizona Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon this January in honor of her mother, raising funds for the American Cancer Society, of which Kathy was a strong supporter.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Kathy from 1996 – 1998 (gosh, I think those are the correct years) when I was the Financial Manager at the LA office. She was an inspiration! No matter how much I may have messed something up, Kathy would always listen with a deep commitment to my success, to solving the problem, and to empowering me (and others) to learn from the situation. AND, she was so so so so easy to laugh with.
Many blessing to her Infinite, Timeless Soul as it continues on its journey. Many blessings to her family and friends in this loss; may all be inspired, healed, and beautified.
The world has lost another great soul. My love and best to her family, she will be missed by many.
On,y met her once while on Staff in NY, and knew of her reputation for excellence. She will be missed. My love to her family, and greater family.
I am among the blessed to have known Kathy and worked with her from 1998-2000 when I was finance manager in Houston. She was a great teacher with extreme patience. She was a loving, kind, empowering manager easy to call. When I made a mistake and she not only helped me correct the mistake, she coached me with acceptance and love so that I did not repeating the mistake. I will miss her. I met Kathy many years ago when she was on staff. She had pulled me aside and asked me to help with an accident claim involving her daughter, Amy. Everything I asked, she did immediately and with a beautiful smile. We talked of family and her devotion to hers was uncommonly strong. She made my job a pure pleasure and is one of those people you are glad God put in your life. God bless her in heaven and my prayers for her soul and for her family. May she rest in peace.
I had the pleasure of working with Kathy as the Business & Finance Manager for the LA Center, and also as a Course Supervisor. Kathy was a kind, generous soul who always found time for you in her day. She was a great individual. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. May Kathy rest in peace.
