Richard Gerety Condon, beloved former Landmark Forum Leader peacefully passed on May 13th, 2024. 

Born on November 5, 1948, in Chicago, Richard’s life was a remarkable journey of exploration, creativity, contribution and transformation. During his tenure as a senior faculty member, he trained and developed Forum Leaders and other program leaders and personally led programs and deeply contributed to the lives of hundreds of thousands of people all over the world.  

From his early days as an up-and-coming drummer in the music scene of the late 60’s and early 70’s to more than 20 years as a senior faculty member for Landmark, Richard’s love of life, and love of others, contributed to everyone he encountered. 

Richard was known for his sharp wit, boundless generosity, and the ability to create new possibilities in every situation. His legacy is also marked by his entrepreneurial spirit, co-founding multiple businesses including the first vegan restaurant in Seattle with his twin brother, Michael.

Richard’s personal journey was also spiritual, always seeking to live a life that was truthful, authentic and courageous. Richard authored “The Way Out,” a poignant reflection on life, suffering, and the transcendent nature of the human spirit, co-written with his brother. This simple work captures something essential and beautiful about the way Richard lived his life.
